CBRNE, Cyber Security and Dirty Bombs: Overview

Newrisk Limited's principal adviser, Dr Sally Leivesley has previous experience in this area of expertise, which has included establishing the first mobile chemical incident response unit in Queensland, Australia following a toxic chemical incident, acting as a national representative on the Australian Chemical Industry Council's National Community Advisory Panel.

Dr Leivesley is an Assessor for the Register of Security Engineers and Specialists, Institution of Civil Engineers. She is also a Member of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Advisors (IABTI) and has delivered papers and held exercises with IABTI members on CBRN and Explosives threats for cities and for aviation prior to the olympics in Sydney in 2000 and she has held exercises at UK meetings on threats to critical infrastructure.

Dr Leivesley has also advised on biological hazards (including anthrax incidents), radiation incidents (including employee preparedness and post incident recommendations following the Fukushima site incident), government preparedness for nuclear incidents and protection of the public. Further, Dr Leivesley has previously advised on electronic incidents, including SCADA system attacks.
