The advisors have experience in many countries working for government and business in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and the Asia Pacific Region.

Managing Director Dr Sally Leivesley, PhD Lond., MSPD, BA (Hons) Qld.,FRSA, FICDDS, MACE reviews risk management procedures and business continuity plans and provides crisis management services to government and industry. Exercises, training programmes and government reviews of services have been provided over the last two decades following an appointment to manage a disaster recovery unit in an Australian city.

Following a PhD in policy and administration within the field of economics where research was undertaken on a couple of thousand extreme loss events, Dr Leivesley trained as a Scientific Advisor with the British Home Office and was contracted to advise on all aspects of protecting the population against extreme threats.

Dr Leivesley has exercised the protection of London under extreme attacks of nuclear, chemical and explosives weapons and advised on measures to keep people alive and business and government in operation under extreme loss events. She subsequently worked on projects to assess the risk of flooding and emergency plans prior to completion of the Thames Barrier, the consequences of the Chernobyl and Three Mile Island reactor incidents and managing risks within the Channel Tunnel following a fire in 1997.

In 1989 she established a pilot mobile chemical hazards unit to service extreme threats to the community with industrial scientists and advanced technology for monitoring environmental risks. This unit has been operating for over a decade as a foremost scientific unit that supports the emergency services in Australia.

Dr Leivesley has been an expert witness on risk management following a rail mass casualty incident and has led reviews of government services including a reform of 82 fire brigades and a review of health and safety management by government. She has published widely in the field of emergencies, business continuity and chemical, biological, nuclear and other risks from terrorism and major incidents. Commentary is provided to the BBC and other media for documentaries and news items following the events of 9/11 and the threat of global terrorism.
